Existential Life Crisis Lullaby
Tuesday, September 10, 2019 – 9:30 PM
Described by The New Yorker as “equal parts Bohemia and Broadway,” Max Vernon has emerged as a singular and eccentric voice in the world of musical theatre. Following his debut at the Kennedy Center last year, and a sold-out six-month residency at Joe’s Pub, they are excited to bring a night of song to Afterglow that is queer, celebratory, exquisitely costumed, and emotionally fearless. Directed by Ellie Heyman, with James Dobinson on the white baby grand.
“Mr. Vernon’s musical numbers are perversely addictive.”—Ben Brantley, The New York Times
“Fahuuucking brilliant. What an incredible score! I want to go back 10 more times.” —Lin Manuel Miranda (on KPOP)
“Fabulous!”—RuPaul (on The View UpStairs)
